Amy Scarano, PA-C, is passionate about her patients’ physical and mental well-being. She enjoys the opportunity to evaluate and treat patients with a focus on wellness, preventative medicine and patient education. She loves connecting with people and taking the time to listen to her patients, while educating and empowering them to make positive changes in their lives.
Amy earned her bachelors degree in Sociology from the University of Michigan and went on to complete her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. Committed to lifelong learning, she is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, California Academy of Physician Assistants and the San Diego Society of Physician Assistants.
When not working, Amy enjoys being in the outdoors, backpacking, hiking, biking, running, skiing, swimming and doing yoga. She shares her passion for medicine and the outdoors with her fiancé, an aspiring physician and current UCSD medical student. A San Diego native, she feels blessed to be able to spend ample time with immediate and extended family members many of whom also live in San Diego.
