Haley Adams, LMFT

“LMFT, Friend, Advocate”

Haley Adams is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from the University of La Verne. She went on to graduate from Pacific Oaks College with a Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and a specialization in trauma studies. Haley is certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Managing and Adapting Practice (MAP), and has a strong knowledge of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).

Haley’s diverse experience includes working with infants, children, adolescents, adults, and families in a variety of settings ranging from residential care to outpatient care. In the beginning of her career, Haley worked with adults struggling with substance use and mental health diagnoses. She transitioned to working with children, adolescents, and adults in a community mental wellness clinic. She currently specializes in treating symptoms related to trauma, depression, stress, and anxiety, providing support to improve her client’s overall well-being.

Haley believes that change happens within a positive therapeutic relationship where the client and therapist collaborate to reach the desired solutions and life changes. She meets her clients where they are at in their journey and tailors the therapeutic experience to meet the needs of each person. Her goal is to create a safe space that allows her clients to explore their thoughts and feelings without judgment. Haley’s treatments are rooted in client centered and cognitive behavioral theories. Based on the individual goals and needs of each client, she may integrate mindfulness based interventions, trauma focused therapy, or cognitive behavioral therapy in order to support her client’s healing.
