Melissa Mang is a nationally board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana and graduated from Duke University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She then went on to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and spent 7 years working as a registered nurse on a progressive care unit specializing in heart and kidney transplants here in San Diego. Melissa completed her Master of Science in Nursing and Nurse Practitioner degree at Azusa Pacific University. Most recently she worked in a concierge internal medicine clinic.
She is particularly passionate about preventative medicine, chronic disease management, women’s health, mental health, and longevity. She believes in the importance of listening to her patients in order to understand their individual health, wellness and lifestyle goals.
Outside of being a provider at Perlman, Melissa enjoys playing tennis, hiking, skiing, travelling, reading, and fostering rescue dogs.
