Dr. Rivera was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. She graduated from medical school at the University of Occupational and Environmental Health in Japan in 1988. In Japan she has worked as an anesthesiologist, ICU management, and hospice care. Since coming to the United States in 2000 she has completed her Family Medicine Residency program at Loma Linda University Medical Center. Her special interests are whole person care, lifestyle medicine, and menopause. In Dr. Rivera’s free time she enjoys working in her family farm, making soap, playing with her furry/feathered pets and outdoor activities with her family.
