Vania Arroyo Hood is a certified Physician Assistant from Seattle, WA where she attended the University of Washington, graduating with a B.S. in Public Health and Global Health. She completed her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies at Pacific University. After that, she pursued her Doctor of Medical Science with Pacific University. Prior to becoming a PA, she worked as an Emergency Department Technician. Vania is interested in urgent care and is happy to see patients for walk-in visits and to continue care with patients afterwards. She has experience in orthopedics and surgery, and enjoys performing minor procedures such as suturing and joint injections. She also enjoys women’s health and performs IUD and nexplanon insertions. Her priority is communication in a patient-provider relationship and will take time to explain any concerns a patient may have. Vania is passionate about primary care for the variety of health concerns she is able to address and for the consistent relationship between patient and the provider.
Vania grew up in the Pacific Northwest and enjoys skiing and wakeboarding. Her love for the sun, ocean, and water activities brought her to San Diego.
