“Doctor, Friend, Advocate”
Dr. Soliman values her role as a physician in a special way, first as a fellow human, a mom, a wife, and an advocate for care, all before the title of Physician.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, with a minor in Pre-medicine. She ventured in the financial industry when she realized that she found her calling to help others and further connect with people on a more personal level. She then pursued medicine at AUA- College of Medicine in the Caribbean, with clinical studies and hospital rotations done in different hospitals in the Northeast of the US. She returned to her home state of Jew Jersey to stay with family while going through her residency training at St. Joseph’s regional medical center. She trained with a diverse group of patients of all ages in family medicine.
Dr. Soliman progressed to practice in different clinical settings in primary care, urgent care, telehealth, as well as Locums positions. She found that she enjoys practicing family medicine with its uniqueness and beauty of continuity of care with evidence based medicine. She believes in treating patients as a whole, as human with emotions, cultural ties, and personal values, not by individual body systems or specific problems. She works with her patients to aid in understanding personal health, prevention of disease, and working towards achieving health goals in a step wise approach.
When visiting California years ago, it became a dream place to call home. Finally, she felt blessed with the opportunity to make the move to San Diego and get to enjoy the beautiful weather and outdoors with her family. Outside of medicine, she loves singing, playing her keyboard, dancing, running, spending time with family, and meditating at San Diego beaches.
