Colleen Brown PA-C

“PA, Friend, Advocate”

Colleen is a certified Physician Assistant originally from Sacramento, CA. She fell in love with San Diego when attending the University of San Diego, achieving her undergraduate degree in Behavioral Neuroscience with honors. After graduation, Colleen worked as an EMT in northern California, working towards her goal of moving back to San Diego as a certified PA.

She ultimately completed her master’s degree at CSU Monterey Bay to become a PA. CSU Monterey Bay has a particular focus on primary care as well as teaching medical Spanish. Over the course of her rotations, she had extensive training in primary care as well as electing for extra time training in surgery and urgent care. With Colleen’s training in plastic surgery, she developed a passion for procedures such as suturing.

Colleen prioritizes empathetic connection in her patient interactions through authentic communication. She will take the time to listen to any and all of a patient’s concerns and talk through them in a manner that leaves the patient with greater understanding and empowers them in their health journey.

In her spare time, Colleen enjoys creating whether that be artistically in the form of a rug or a painting, or even just a delicious meal. She cherishes spending time with friends and family, especially at concerts or when any sort of animal is involved! She is passionate about sustainability and intersectional environmentalism.
