Dermatology Nurse Practitioner

Kat Leyrer is an ANCC board-certified nurse practitioner. She graduated summa cum laude from Emory University and previously attended North Carolina State University where she earned her bachelor’s degrees in Human Biology and Spanish Foreign Language & Literature. Before moving to San Diego, she served the Atlanta community and was the official dermatology provider for the Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders. As an adolescent, Kat spent several years being treated and recovering from multiple surgeries. Because of this, she truly understands the importance of compassionate care and advocacy for patients. She believes that patient education is one of the most important aspects of managing skin conditions.

In her free time, Kat enjoys traveling, soccer, pilates, and going to the beach (with her sunscreen of course).
