Maisa Nagi Morris, M.D.

“Doctor, Friend, Advocate”

Dr. Nagi Morris received her medical school training in Birmingham, Alabama at UAB. She then moved to Salt Lake City, Utah for her residency in Family and Preventive Medicine.

While living in Utah, she became interested in integrative approaches to helping patients with their medical and emotional concerns, as western medicine often wasn’t enough or had too many limitations and risks in some situations. Although she is a strong believer in some of the incredible advances in medicine that western medicine has brought to people for acute surgical problems, she has found that eastern philosophies and alternative approaches to many chronic medical problems are often preferred by patients, and certainly helpful as adjunctive therapies, oftentimes reducing the need for prescription medications and promoting inner healing.

Dr. Nagi Morris completed a 2-year Integrative Medicine Fellowship at the University of Arizona in Tucson in 2019, and obtained training in acupuncture by the Helms Medical Institute in 2018 and 2019.

She moved to San Diego in May of 2020 to be near the ocean, and she loves walking on the beach with her Siberian husky. She also enjoys art, astrology, geology, traveling, and camping.

Regarding her medical practice, she enjoys women’s health, energy and regenerative medicine, mental health, mind-body medicine, energy medicine, acupuncture, and preventive healthcare. Dr. Nagi Morris sees patients of all ages.
