Melissa Stone DNP, AGNP-C

“AGNP, Friend, Advocate”

Melissa Stone, DNP, AGNP-C was born and raised in Washington state and she recently decided to move down to California for more sunshine and a change of pace. Melissa spent the majority of her time working in healthcare in Seattle WA, where she started out as a nurse aid for 5 years in long term care facilities. After this, Melissa attended Seattle University to receive her Bachelors of Science in Nursing, with Magna Cum Laude academic honors, and then worked as a Registered Nurse for 5 years at the University of Washington Montlake campus hospital caring for patients with a variety of concerns; from complications due to chronic conditions to surgical needs. Melissa’s desire to further her education in healthcare led her to attend the University of Washington to obtain her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in the Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Track. Melissa’s decade of experience in healthcare has led her to have a passion for preventative care and providing individualized care, all with the goal of collaborating with her patients on their overall health and wellbeing.

In her off time, Melissa enjoys traveling, spending time with her two kitties, and all things food- whether this is going out to eat to experience San Diego’s vibrant food scene, cooking at home, or having picnics by the beach.
