“PA-C, Friend, Advocate”
Elizabeth is a board-certified Physician Assistant who has been practicing medicine for over 13 years. A passion of hers is working with underserved populations since her early days training in PA school and even after she became a board-certified Physician Assistant. Born in Orange, CA but raised in the Northeast, she learned to value diversity, being of Puerto Rican descent herself. She grew up in Worcester, Massachusetts and went away to college at Messiah University in Grantham, Pennsylvania and received her Master of Health Sciences, Physician Assistant Studies, at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. In Connecticut, she quickly learned acute care in a busy emergency room/trauma center and urgent care.
When her family moved back to California, she moved cross-country to join them and settled in sunny San Diego. She worked in Reproductive Health and Dermatology before joining Perlman Clinic. She still enjoys being a community activist for the underserved – nationwide and abroad, but particularly in the Dominican Republic where her husband is from. Part of her work involves helping educate community workers on healthy lifestyle practices to manage and prevent chronic diseases. Perlman Clinic helps strengthen her ability to continue this work.
For fun, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 kids, listening to podcasts on long walks, and being intentional with creating a healthy lifestyle through spin classes and daily journaling.
