Dr. Gerard Blake is currently a Family Physician at the Perlman Clinic in Bonita, California, and a volunteer physician with the UCSD Free Clinic. Through the Free Clinic position, Dr. Blake holds a faculty appointment as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Family Medicine and the College of Medicine. He also serves as an instructor at the UCSD College of Medicine in their first- and second-year Practice of Medicine courses.

Dr. Blake has 13 years of experience as an urgent care physician at Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group. In that role, he treated patients with typical Family Medicine presentations as well as those with more urgent or emergent conditions. He is currently Board Certified in Family Medicine. In addition to his M.D. degree, Dr. Blake also holds a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree and continues to perform most podiatric procedures, with the exception of hospital surgeries.

Dr. Blake enjoys helping patients achieve their best possible health by encouraging better dietary choices, outdoor activity, and regular exercise—especially taking advantage of the beautiful outdoors that San Diego has to offer.
