Kara is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner with broad clinical experience as a registered nurse and nurse practitioner. She has a background in women’s health and internal medicine, with clinical expertise in reproductive health care. She is dedicated to meeting her patients’ health goals and provides individualized approaches to health education and disease management. As a registered nurse, she has also cared for medical and surgical cardiology patients in the hospital setting.

Kara is impassioned about clinical research and has conducted research trials for novel medications and treatments in acute stroke care, osteoporosis, and diabetes and lipids management. With her combined research and clinical background, she has enjoyed impacting patients’ lives both through providing direct care and by contributing to broader medical advancements in clinical research.

Kara enjoys living in beautiful San Diego, spending time outdoors, relaxing with her dogs, and travelling.
