“Doctor, Friend, Advocate”

As an immigrant from Vietnam, arriving in San Diego at the age of ten, Dr. Tran considers herself a local native. She completed her undergraduate studies at UCSD and attended Oklahoma State University Health Sciences Center for her medical training. She returned to San Diego to complete her family medicine residency at Scripps Mercy Chula Vista. Dr. Tran has been board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine since 2006.

Before joining Perlman Clinics, Dr Tran dedicated 19 years of service at community health centers, in the same community where she grew up, providing primary care for medically challenging but underserved populations.

Dr. Tran is married to her college sweetheart, and they have three grown children. Outside of work, they enjoy an active healthy lifestyle. They have ran several half marathons together and even though their times are getting longer, they are registered annually for the Rock and Roll races. They love dancing, attending concerts and improving their golf game. Grateful for all the blessings in her life, Dr. Tran is bringing her training, skills and her commitment to patient care to Perlman Clinic.
