“FNP, Friend, Advocate”

Amy Caporello, MSN, FNP-BC is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and a recent addition to our Perlman team! Raised outside of Boston, she achieved her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northeastern University and has over 12 years of nursing experience with 10 years specializing in Emergency Medicine. She moved to San Diego in 2014 and worked as an ER Nurse, Travel Nurse, and Critical Care Transport Nurse. Amy has a passion for holistic care and strives to empower her patients to understand their bodies and attain their wellness goals. Inspired by her calling to educate and serve in the community, she attained her Master of Science in Nursing from University of Southern California, specializing in Family medicine and graduating Summa Cum Laude.

Amy believes in a holistic approach to medicine, understanding that one’s health is multifactorial and personal. She loves getting to know her patients, advocating for their wellness, and creating a comfortable space. 

On her days off you may find Amy adventuring around San Diego with her family and friends, running, hiking, enjoying art, and playing with her Golden Retriever.
