Angela Acfalle ANP-BC

“NP, Friend, Advocate”

Angela Acfalle is a board-certified Adult Nurse Practitioner. She graduated from San Diego State University with her Bachelors in Nursing in 1993 and Masters in Nursing in 2003. She retired from the Navy in 2010. As a Navy Nurse, she worked in cardiac step down telemetry, she was a Certified Emergency Nurse and Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS). She was a sexual assault nurse examiner while station in Okinawa and Al Taqqadum, Iraq. She managed two family medicine clinics and a General Surgery clinic. In the Navy, she also was the AAFP Tar Wars coordinator, HEDIS champion for cervical cancer screening, ran Breast Cancer Survivors network, and performed esophageal manometry. Since 2009, she has been a clinical preceptor for Nurse Practitioner students. Since retirement, Angela has worked in Internal Medicine clinics as a primary care provider. Angela has experience working with patients with a wide variety of health concerns including life-threatening, acute, and chronic conditions.

In her free time, Angela enjoys Body Pump, Yoga, bachata dancing, and finding small mom-& pop restaurants. She use to roller skate tons: she used to referee roller derby as well as rollerdance with the San Diego Old School Skaters! Once her knee replacement heals, she plans to return to her roller skates (NOT roller blades!).
