“LMFT, Friend, Advocate”
Brenda Quiroz is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from California State University of Fresno. She went on to graduate from National University of Fresno with a Master’s of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology. Brenda uses effective evidenced based techniques, such as Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Parent Child Interactive Therapy (PCIT) to develop awareness, shift unhelpful patterns, confront fears and adopt healthier habits.
Brenda’s extensive clinical experience includes working with children, adolescents, adults, and families with different cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds in the outpatient setting. She has a passion for helping others and possess years of treating symptoms related to trauma, depression, stress, and anxiety, providing support to improve her client’s overall well-being.
Brenda believes that change happens within a strong, supportive and collaborative therapeutic relationship, where she meets her patients where they are at in their life journey. Here treatments are rooted in client centered and cognitive behavioral theories. Based on the individual goals and needs of each patient, she integrates mindfulness based interventions, trauma focused therapy, or cognitive behavioral therapy in order to support her patients healing process.
Outside of providing therapy, she enjoys spending time with family, friends, being active outdoors with her two dogs and being a mother.
