“FNP, Friend, Advocate”

Christa Steffensmeier, FNP completed her undergraduate studies at College of Saint Benedict in 2007.  She started her nursing career at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and then traveled across the country working in various ICU settings before deciding to further her education.  Christa received her Master of Science in Nursing-Family Nurse Practitioner from The University of San Diego Hahn School of Nursing where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2017.  Her NP career began in aesthetics and weight loss in Cary, North Carolina before moving to Virginia Beach where she worked in wound care and geriatrics. 

Christa is now extremely excited to be back in the field which she is most passionate about- weight loss!  She truly enjoys getting to know her patients and working with them to come up with evidence-based treatment plans which work for their individual lifestyles.

During her free time, Christa enjoys spending time with her husband, 2 little boys, and their chocolate labradoodle.  They love attending sporting events and concerts, spending time at the pool and beach, and being active together outdoors.  She also enjoys running, weight lifting, baking, and gardening.
