David Larue, D.O.

“Doctor, Friend, Advocate”

David Larue, DO, received his medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific, in Pomona, CA in 1990. He spent one year at Detroit Osteopathic Hospital where the rigorous training earned him a spot in the Kaiser Fontana Family Medicine Residency, the first DO to do so. In 1993, he completed his residency and became board-certified in family medicine. Dr. Larue then joined the San Diego Kaiser Medical Group for 30 years, and has been with the urgent care group at San Diego Sports Medicine since 2019.

Dr. Larue has extensive experience to offer patients expert diagnosis and treatment for all their primary and urgent care needs. He considers it an honor and a privilege to engage in the doctor-patient relationship.

When Dr. Larue is away from the clinic, he spends time playing guitar, backpacking, cycling, and writing. He has a special interest in philosophical theory and mindfulness training. Dr. Larue is married and has 2 adult sons.
