“FNP, Friend, Advocate”

Jennifer Toomey is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner.  She obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from National University, San Diego and obtained her Master of Science Degree in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner Program from the University of St. Augustine, Florida.  Her clinical nursing background started in Pediatric Intensive, Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care, and Neonatal Intensive care at Rady Children’s Hospital, San Diego.  She also has a nursing background in Adult Cardiac Medicine.  Jennifer currently also works as a Nurse Practitioner in Quality, Training and Leadership for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.  She has a background as a clinician in a virtual/telehealth setting as well as in home and clinical patient care.  Jennifer is passionate about creating a trusting environment with her patients to provide safe, evidenced based patient centered care in the field of pediatrics, family practice and urgent care. 

In her free time, Jennifer loves to spend time with her two boys, her husband and her extended family.  They love to travel, eat and explore the world around them. Jennifer also loves hiking, cooking, music, reading and fitness.
