“FNP, Friend, Advocate”

Riyan Buller, FNP holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Psychology from UC San Diego and a Bachelor’s in Nursing from California State University San Marcos. She spent the majority of her nursing career in the emergency and trauma departments where she held positions as an educator, mentor, and lead. After nearly fifteen years in the hospital setting, she wanted to reach patients on a more personal level. This inspired Riyan to complete her Master’s degree in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Samuel Merritt University in 2022. As a provider, her focus is on patient-centered care and fostering collaboration. She seeks to create a meaningful partnership with her patients to help them achieve their individual healthcare goals.

Outside of work, she enjoys being a mom to her tween daughter and new baby boy. She loves spending time with her fiancé, watching sports, playing with her two dogs, and continuing her mission of trying all the best sushi spots in San Diego.
