“Doctor, Friend, Advocate”

Dr. Brobst is a board-certified Pediatrician. He graduated from the University of Virginia with highest distinction, earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Chemistry. He then went on to attend medical school at the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota, followed by a 3-year residency in Pediatrics at the University of California San Diego and Rady Children’s Hospital. Prior to joining Perlman Pediatrics, Dr. Brobst worked in various clinics in San Diego seeing kids of all ages for urgent and primary care. He is excited to be joining the Perlman Pediatrics team and to establish relationships with patients and their families. Dr. Brobst enjoys and is experienced in working with children of all ages. He is particularly passionate about working with and advocating for LGBTQ+ youth and families, and believes that patients of all backgrounds deserve caring, compassionate medical care. 

Dr. Brobst grew up in the greater Washington, D.C. area, but frequently spent time in Southern California while growing up visiting family in San Diego and Palm Springs. He spends his free time outdoors hiking and at the beach, and strives to stay active through yoga, cycling, and pilates classes. He enjoys trying new coffee shops and restaurants around San Diego, as well as spending time with friends and family (and his orange tabby, Elio).
